Kalpana Merchant is a senior partner at the Firm. Kalpana, has over five decades of expertise in a broad range of commercial real estate and financing transactions. Kalpana has advised some of the largest real estate development projects in India, particularly, in the Mumbai region. Her real estate experience includes commercial leases, sales and purchases, development transactions and the property aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Kalpana, also represents banks, financial institutions, real estate funds and developers on property financings, real estate fund formation and joint ventures. In addition, Kalpana is a solicitor who represents a wide range of corporates and high networth individuals on their commercial disputes, estate and wealth planning.

Kalpana was a senior partner at the Mumbai offices of the law firms of Kanga & Co and AZB & Partners prior to being a senior partner of the Firm.
